Kirisame no Machi
This small island village is surrounded by a large number of even smaller islands generally unfit for housing, but perfect for sight-seeing.
A young, budding, and already fairly fruitful collection of homes and businesses stacked together in the dolphin-shaped island of Irukatō (literally translating to "Dolphin Island"), this small community is a completely separate operation from the village of Kirigakure, what with its seemingly independent townsfolk thanks to their fish exports- some say the rare drizzlefish are prominent only in this town's docks, leaving the flavor a delicacy sought out for by tourists and locals alike.
Upon arrival of Kirisame no Machi, the first thing one would notice are the welcoming faces and open arms. Because of how popular this small town can be with visitors due to its unusual landscaping and wonderful food, the locals have grown to accept anyone and everyone for the sake of filling their wallets with the help of overprices rates and goods, the true main source of income for this village.
Until recently, this village has maintained a purely distant stance on more modern technologies, such as the power lines one would notice in the village nowadays.
Amazingly, this small town was founded during the war between Kumogakure and Kirigakure, specifically by some of the local Kirigakure citizens looking to leave the strife of the several decade long war. Due to the geography of the small islands, they would make for poor battlegrounds as they end up having a lot of open spaces, beyond the fact that the islands north of Kirigakure are mostly away from the fights that took place between Kirigakure and Kumogakure, which took place south of Kiri.
A simple few steps of logic and an avoidance of violence is what the now somewhat famous town was founded on- a couple of principles which would soon raise a generation of expert money grabbers. While they are content with the way they live, mostly in seclusion, the finer things in life have never been sought after until a minor fortune was amassed during the war, when Kirisame no Machi would provide food and even weapons to those down south. The original principle of seeking peace was dropped for the sake of earning coin.
In a stroke of several years' worth of luck, none were the wiser when it came to discovering Kirigakure's source of resources. Even now, the fact that Kirisame no Machi often do trade with Kirigakure is not very well known in the public for the fact many believe the village moreso a famous tourist trap- a perfect guise. Only those who have done their research in Kirigakure would read mention of the village's small town handymen. Rumor even has it that the creator of the Seven Swords of the Mist lived in the island at one point by himself to bless the entire island of Irukatō with good fortune... but that is most likely a fabrication for the sake of wooing the tourists.
