Our Allies Up North!
Due to some recent happenings related to the reputation and funding of the village of Kirigakure, a small town north of the village known as Kirisame no Machi intends to offer aid in the form of work- missions for the shinobi in need of experience and financial help. Considering the small town is known as a local tourist trap in need of extra hands, minor work and protection missions are under no shortage in these lands, and non-idle hands are always welcomed with open arms.
The town's mayor, Shishi-za, Arakan, paid a visit to Kirigakure very recently as a matter of fact, as a volunteer worker for the sake of testing young shinobi to learn discipline and had this much to say about them:
"These children have a whole life ahead of them, especially during a time of peace. The fact of the matter is, I'm very familiar with their ilk. Grown impoverished, half of them, and born into honor the other. Having lived both sides of that coin, I know how possible it is to turn into an outstanding individual that fights to protect the standard of their family and village. While word will have gotten around about their poor influences, all I can see is a bunch of kids ready to learn what it means to be a hard worker! I plan to do just that, and I've even seen for myself how useful these kids can be. Of course there are going to be some whom are rough around the edges, I'm certain of that. I've never been a model student myself, after all! But... when you finally know what it means to put your heart and soul into something and watch it flourish due to your own aid? The feeling of accomplishment can only be matched by the happiness of your people. This is the very euphoria that I aspire to share with the kids of Kirigakure, the growing shinobi and leaders alike!"
A picture of vigor and charisma, many question how capable this leader can really be, yet others are very assured of his ability.
Ever the enthusiast, Mr. Shishi-za still sees a bright future in a group that many might deem unlikely to succeed. Only time can really tell how much success he can muster from the Kiri-nin, but one thing is for certain... If anyone can do it, this man can.
In other related news, it seems that the forces inside Kirigakure itself have finally reformed the military branch known as the Okyu Eihei- and many believe that if these are the forces that will oversee the rowdiness of the village itself, then things may already be looking up. They do say that the group is the best of the best and are even trained by the Mizukage, and have even all fought and died in the war against Kumogakure. Many citizens tend to doubt their abilities either way, but most are excited to see their new rule put into action.
Even with that in mind, it appears as though further tryouts are being prepared for the normal police force- cracking down on common crime has even seen support and minor funding from the upper echelons of the village nobles. A comment has been provided by the Mizukage about these two groups.
Reassurance provided by the leader of the village and even some assistance from the rich of Kirigakure, besides an avenue for good, hard work, the village has a straight road ahead to rebuilding a better reputation.
"The Okyu Eihei will be the new generation of elite shinobi from Kirigakure. They are meant to prosper and do meaningful things for the village itself. They are meant to shine where others will not. The police force tryouts are meant for well-abled shinobi who are able to put the law into their arms and enforce it to make the streets a safer place."
