Hoshigaki Clan
Long-term residents of Kirigakure along with the Hozuki, the history of the shark-like people of the Mist begins in conflict. Although the Hoshigaki and Hozuki were the 'founding clans' of the oceanic village, it was brought about from the resolution of a short conflict between the two clans. Hoshigaki were the original, natural settlers of Kirigakure until the Hozuki came wishing to live there for many of the same reasons the Hoshigaki were there already.
The 'war' between the two clans lasted years before it was ended from a third force entering the feud - the three-tailed bijuu Isobu, though he is only known as 'Kyodaigame' (giant turtle) or 'Sanbi' (three tails) to the clans. While the shark-like Hoshigaki and water-morphing Hozuki hated each other, the threat of both their clans becoming extinct forced them to band together to stave off the three-tailed bijuu.
Their victory was with cost, yet from those that remained from the battles came the pieced-together settlement named Kirigakure no Sato.
Members of the Hoshigaki clan vary in how intense their shark-features are, but most have blue skin and gills. They tend to act brutish at times, are stubborn by default and often disregard the newer members and clans of their village that had no part in the salvation and foundation of Kirigakure.

Clan Perks
Blessing of the Tides (Innate)
This person is a member of the vicious Hoshigaki clan, embodying the spirit of a shark in their fighting and appearance. They are able to breathe underwater for elongated periods of time and enjoy increased mobility in their swimming, negating the usual penalties.
Notes: Can breathe underwater. No negatives from being submerged in water (default underwater debuff is -2 speed.)
Bestial Chakra (T4; Mid Tier Semi-Unique)
This Hoshigaki emits an aura akin to a jinchuuriki as their palpable chakra reserves adds pressure to the air to those they are around. Amongst the Hoshigaki, this individual is a prime specimen of what their fearsome clan should be known for - a domineering presence capable of utilizing their chakra in abundance and far beyond the regular limitations of shinobi.
Notes: +1 Vitality.

Suiton: Suikodan no Jutsu
[B-Rank]
The user shapes water into a large shark, and by thrusting their hand forward, sends it hurtling towards the opponent at high speed, resulting in a powerful impact. The user can also ride inside the water shark to dramatically increase their swimming speed. While it travels faster when used inside of a body of water, if used outside of it, the technique soars through the air to slam into the target.
Note: 10 handseals.
Req: Hoshigaki, T2 Water
Suiton: Goshokuzame
[B-Rank]
The user puts their hand on the surface of a body of water and from the tips of five fingers, chakra is released into the water, changing it into the form of five ferocious sharks. The sharks circle the target with high speed, creating a raging stream that takes away their prey's freedom of movement and their sharp teeth tear into the enemy with each consecutive attack. These sharks can regenerate from surrounding water, making them difficult to destroy with regular attacks. However, if hit with significant enough force, they will disperse.
Note: 12 handseals. Requires a deep body of water to use. Each shark lasts for 3 turns, and afterward undergo a 2 turn cooldown.
Req: Hoshigaki, T2 Water
Suiton: Amesuikoha
[B-Rank]
The user slams their palm onto a nearby water source or gathers suiton chakra into their mouth, catapulting a large surge of water into the air. This water then forms into four large sharks that dive toward their target to bludgeon and shred them from above. Should these sharks be attacked, the water that composes them simply reforms into countless droplet-sized sharks, which continue to rain down upon the target and slash whenever they come into contact with in a merciless rain of razor-sharp teeth and fins.
Note: 11 handseals. Rain covers a 7x7 area in front of the user.
Req: Hoshigaki, T2 Water
Suiton: Senshokuko
[A-Rank] (High Tier Semi-Unique)
A much more powerful version of the Suiton: Goshokuzame technique, where the user creates a thousand sharks out of water that replicates a giant wave to swarm down and attack the opponent. This enormous wave of sharks rushes down their target area and crash down upon the terrain, inflicting heavy blunt force. The vast number of jagged teeth and sharp fins that each shark contains make this a very dangerous technique, making it easily capable of turning those caught within into a bloody mess. An enormous body of water is left behind as a result of the thousand sharks reverting back to their natural state after impact.
Note: 19 handseals. Tidal wave of sharks covers a 13x13 area, leaving behind a deep water source of that size. 3 turn cooldown.
Req: Hoshigaki, T4 Chakra, T3 Water, Goshokuzame
Suiton: Daikodan no Jutsu
[A-Rank] (High Tier Semi-Unique)
The user creates a gigantic shark out of water and, by thrusting both hands forward, sends it to attack the opponent. This technique differs from the original, since this is able to absorb the chakra from an opponent's technique and in turn, use that chakra to grow larger and more powerful. Therefore, the stronger the opponent's technique is, the stronger this technique will get.
Note: 17 handseals. Shark's size is 5 tiles wide, 7 tiles long. Absorbs chakra that comes into contact with it and strengthens as a result.
Req: Hoshigaki, T4 Water, Suikodan
Suiton: Mugensame
[A-Rank]
The user creates an orb of water completely composed of water sharks, upon being released they rapidly assault the opponent. If the orb is released normally, each of the water sharks race forward in a singular direction, like a seemingly endless torrent of sharks easily capable of rending apart flesh. If the orb is released underwater, the strength of the sharks is greatly enhanced, and they're not stuck to a singular direction- rather, any of their targets can be homed in on and pursued like heat-seeking missiles. Being caught underwater with this technique in effect is a terrible omen for those that are to be victim to it.
Note: 18 handseals. The barrage of sharks can be sustained for up to 3 turns, each of which will inflict immense drain to the user's reserves. If used underwater, each shark homes in on up to 2 targets. User must remain stationary during its use. 3 turn cooldown. Hoshigaki Clan exclusive.
Req: Hoshigaki, T4 Chakra, T4 Water, Goshokuzame, Amesuikoha, Senshokuko, Amplifier
