Hozuki Clan
Long-term residents of Kirigakure along with the Hoshigaki, the history of the water-morphing Hozuki began in their conflict with the Hoshigaki. Over a century in the past, their ancestors fought the local shark-people of lands they had to settle for their survival. The Hoshigaki did not wish for co-existence at first, and so years of fighting ensued.
Many lives from both clans were lost to one another before the war was ended by the sudden interjection of the three-tailed bijuu Isobu, known only as 'Kyodaigame' (giant turtle) and 'Sanbi' (three tails). Putting aside their differences for the common goal of mutual survival, more lives withered away until a single man halted Isobu's attack. A Hozuki who would become known as the First Mizukage transformed into a terrifying monster and defeated Isobu one-on-one, forcing it's retreat. Because of their shared victory, those that survived founded Kirigakure no Sato.
Hozuki all have white hair and purple/violet eyes with a series of sharp teeth suitable for biting. They tend to be carefree and relaxed, though ambitious when they set their mind to a goal or dream and possess a deep love for Kirigakure.
Clan Perks
Hydration Adept (T3)
As a member of the Hozuki clan, this individual has taken their mastery over Suika and other various clan hiden abilities to a more respectful level. They are able to utilize more of said techniques in battle before exhausting themselves. A substantial source of water or long period of time without combat is required to properly rehydrate them. +2 hydration stacks (now 5.)
Intangibility Master (T4)
This Hozuki has taken their mastery over Suika and other various clan techniques to a new, higher level. They are a nightmare to any heavily physical shinobi, yet remain helpless when faced up against those of a raiton persuasion. A substantial source of water or long period of time without combat is required to properly rehydrate. +2 hydration stacks (now 7.)
Clan Jutsu
Suiton: Suika
[C-Rank]
This jutsu, a hallmark of the Hozuki clan, allows the user to liquefy any part of their body at will, from the hair on their head to the muscles in their arms. When the user is struck by a physical attack, the impacted area becomes liquid, causing the attack to pass through them and leave them unharmed. The user then solidifies back into their original form.
In addition to defense, Hozuki can convert their body into liquid for any number of purposes. They can use their bodies to douse targets. Despite the versatility of their liquid states, it renders Hozuki very vulnerable to Lightning Release. If an attack overwhelms a user and they pass put, their unconscious body will take on a jelly-like quality.
Note: Hozuki begin with 3 Suika stacks base, in addition to any further that their clan perks grant. If the user is struck with raiton while in this state, they will revert back to their solid form and be rendered unable to liquefy for 2 turns. If the user is struck with incredible force with this in use, their body is blown apart into many particles of water, resulting in them needing to spend a full turn reforming.
Req: Hozuki, T1 Water
Suiton: Mizutamari
[C-Rank]
After liquefying a portion of their body, the user manipulates the resulting water to surround their target's head, preventing them from breathing in order to either: render the victim unconscious or ultimately kill them if the suffocation is sustained for long enough. However, this technique can be broken if the user is hit with significant enough force to blow their liquefied body apart. It can also be interrupted by shocking the user- although that method would end up damaging the victim as well, as a result.
Note: Consumes 1 Suika stack to perform. Takes 4 turns of continuous drowning to render a victim unconscious.
Req: Hozuki, T2 Water, Suika
Suiton: Mizudeppo
[B-Rank]
The user makes a finger gun with their hand and, through the Hydrification Technique, compresses a drop of water in their index finger, firing it with tremendous force and speed similar to a gunshot — enough to easily pierce through solid material should the user be highly skilled. Performing this technique takes a high amount of concentration and control, and thus can only be used from a single finger.
Note: Consumes 1 Suika stack. At T2 Water, it cannot pierce through solid materials, and instead severely damages them. At T3 Water, it can pierce cleanly through solids. 2 turn cooldown, cannot be used during Mizudeppo Nicho's cooldown.
Req: Hozuki, T2 Water, Suika
Suiton: Gosuiwan
[B-Rank]
By putting the Hydrification Technique into practical use, the muscles of a limb are temporarily enlarged and strengthened. Moisture is gathered from the whole body and compressed into the entire limb, like an instant pump-up. However, because it is essential to properly control the moisture balance inside the body, this technique's degree of difficulty is very high. The technique gives the user incredible strength, capable of breaking through sturdy solid structures that they weren't able to beforehand.
Note: Grants the user a +1 to Strength in the limb of their choice. Drains 1 Suika stack each turn it's in use.
Req: Hozuki, T2 Water, Suika
Suiton: Mizudeppo Nicho
[A-Rank]
A more lethal version of the Mizudeppo technique, the user is required to have gained extreme control over their chakra and mastery over Suika. This results in the user being able to utilize not just one, but two hands that shoot out a single water bullet each. Both bullets simultaneously impact a target, resulting in a high-pressured explosion of water that can easily excavate flesh and bone upon contact. The bullets, being an improved version of its predecessor technique, possess far superior travel speed and power each- there's little to nothing that they can't pierce through.
Note: Consumes 2 Suika stacks to perform. 3 turn cooldown, cannot be used during Mizudeppo's cooldown.
Req: Hozuki, T4 Water, Mizudeppo
Suiton: Tate Eboshi
[A-Rank] (Unique)
After using the Hydrification Technique to merge with a water source, the user can form a giant wave that resembles a demon-like fish. This technique was created and first used by the First Mizukage. The Hozuki can use this form to battle larger opponents, or they can use it to shield allies from attack- each of which can prove highly effective as a table-turning trump card in battle. It possesses such might that it's capable of briefly physically pushing back beasts the size of tailed beasts, and can even combat them for a short while. If struck with an overwhelming amount of chakra, however, the user will sustain severe damage and be forced to revert, being rendered unconscious into a jelly-like state.
Note: Consumes all Suika stacks. Turn duration = Remaining Suika stacks - 1. Forced to revert after being struck with techniques S-rank in power, or A-rank if its nature is raiton.
