For those of you that are looking to pursue the path of a summon in your character's life, this guide's made for the sake of explaining the basic guidelines of how they'll work down the line and what you can expect should you fully dedicate yourself to it.
Most animals that you can think of are able to be applied for as a summon of sorts, barring any kind of mythical creatures. While the traditional toad, snake and slug summons are still available options, there's always other choices you can pursue: bat, raccoon, kangaroo, tiger, monkey- whatever animal comes to mind.
No matter what you apply for, each stage of a summon must be applied for as a unique and obtained at individual stages. Here is a basic outline of what you can expect to work off of in your applications, which you must list in your app alongside filling out the information in the template:
Small Summon (Low-Tier Semi-Unique)
Requires D+ Grade and T2 Vitality - Costs 2 Points
3 T2 Perks/5 T1 Perks (Up to 2 Cores/Professions for the T2 Perks)
2 Techniques C-Rank in power
Medium Summon (Semi-Unique)
Requires C Grade and T3 Vitality - Costs 2 Points
3 T3 Perks/5 T2 Perks/3 T1 Perks (Up to 2 Cores/Professions for the T3 Perks | Up to 4 Cores/Professions for the T2 Perks)
2 Techniques B-Rank in power/3 Techniques C-Rank in power
Large Summon (High-Tier Semi-Unique)
Requires B- Grade and T4 Vitality - Costs 3 Points
6 T3 Perks/6 T2 Perks/3 T1 Perks (Up to 4 Cores/Professions for the T3 Perks | Up to 4 Cores/Professions for the T2 Perks)
4 Techniques B-Rank in power/7 Techniques C-Rank in power
Keep in mind these are the total statistics for each summon stage and do not stack per size. Each size is going to vary in how difficult it is to get approved, starting with plenty leniency at small and very scrutinized at large, although if you fully dedicate yourself to your summon (using it frequently, building your IC around it) your chances significantly improve. Being in a clan will harshly hinder your chances of going all the way with a summon, and may even be impossible; however, a few cases are exceptions (Hoshigaki & Shark/Kushaku & Spider). Do keep in mind delving into this path can and will hinder your odds of getting your clan uniques if you do go down this route.
This is not the furthest a summon tree goes! From this point on, each application will be very heavily scrutinized due to how heavy-duty each one after Large size is. Needless to say, your summon tree will take up your full unique slot from this point on. After obtaining a Large Summon:
