Funding restored!
The village has managed to restore it's funding.
With the Water Daimyō's visit concluded, he has announced that he would be restoring the village's funding back to it's original levels, easing off any pressure or strain upon the population whilst disappointing the Council of Kirigakure, with his 'softness'. However, some aren't really pleased; some believe it was an act of pity, others believe the Daimyō did this as a means to flex his political power and influence whilst a rare few speak of unusual conspiracy theories since they have far too much time on their hands.
That being said, the village should now look towards the problems surrounding their village and fix them during this period of 'peace' instead of dwelling on the past. Before that however, the Daimyō's advisor has asked for the village to choose two Genin that currently have no other responsibilities, to come forth and elect themselves; those that attended the Daimyō's final test, more specifically the ones who put themselves up for positions of representation, will gain priority over those that did not. It is said, that these Genin will have more influence over political matters discerning Kirigakure's place within the nation; though not as much as the village's leadership, but they may soon enough come to grow into fully-fledged representatives and even rival the Council of Kirigakure itself of the political influence they possess!
The village's reputation is now: C- (risen from D)
This affects the village's influence on the rest of the nation, possibly even the world, as well as the frequency and availability of specific missions
In other news...
There have been reports of several island mansions being burned down, when questioned about this, Kirigakure's shinobi had very little to say; most civilians assume it's something to do with the so-called 'Cult of the Cabal' that have been terrorising the region and had even attacked the hospital prior to the Daimyō's visit. But one's thing is for sure, there have been more sightings of these cultists on the islands north of Kirigakure, as to what they are doing? It is something for the Kiri-nin to figure out, sooner rather than later. Though with the recent surge of activity from the 'Mumyōnohito' or more officially known as the 'Mumei No Mure', it is likely scouting reports will soon enough be generated for the Okyu Ehei to handle and distribute the information given as they see fit.
