Enjoy yourself. If you have disagreements with other players or admins, keep calm while discussing what your disagreements are. We understand having a competitive nature, yet Project Shinobi is about creating a fun experience for all parties and not about who the winner is.
Be sensible and reasonable. If there is a particular rule not listed in these general rules, then respect that this is a public game where your actions can be seen. Project Shinobi is a game about the story of a village and the individuals wanting fame within - act within those parameters.
No extreme content (such as rape, pedophilia, etc.) All extreme content is prohibited on Project Shinobi. Sexual content by itself, however, is not prohibited. Keep things around PG-13 and M-rated as we don't wish to see grotesque acts roleplayed. No content or actions considered illegal in the United States of America will be performed or hosted here. In addition, two player characters cannot engage in sexual behavior until they are both 16 in-game.
Do not abuse bugs. If you find a bug, report it to an admin or Wolf - openly abusing it will result in punishment based on the severity of the abuse and bug in question up to being banned.
No trading items between alts. If you play an alternate character, don't use it as a means to get your other character more filled up with items or as a way of feeding the other IC information.
Roleplay within your character limits. This includes not godmodding and overplaying yourself as well as the reverse. Unless you are intentionally holding back ICly, always roleplay your capabilities as your skillcards suggest them to be.
Try to work out issues amongst yourselves. While admins can intervene for rulings during fights (both PvP and PvE), we would like to encourage players to solve their problems without GM-Helping. Try to be civil and polite when you have OOC disagreements.
No popular names. A lot of people enjoy making characters heavily inspired by various anime characters, not just those in the Naruto universe. We are fine with this but do not name yourself Goku or Naruto while playing Project Shinobi.
Refrain from random killing. This rule applies heavily to ECs, who are not allowed to inflict beyond severe injury without OOC warning at the start of their event, as well as players. Everyone puts time into their characters and wants to get strong, so we discourage random killing/grime. We prefer people finding alternatives to killing on their first fight with someone (especially if they don't know them too well) such as leaving them with an injury. Essentially, do not kill without valid reason as it can more often end roleplay rather than facilitate it as player killing with poor reasoning results in punishment.
