So you want to buy that katana, or you're trying to blow up the nobles' mansions, but your wallet looks something like this...
.. and whenever you mine, it looks something like this..
I'm here to show you the (not so secret) secrets to getting rich quick (or die trying).
So your mining logs can look a little more like this...
The Basics
To start, you click on the mineral rock, opening up this window:
The mining interface with: the rock tiles, your tool, and the integrity.
When the integrity of your rock reaches 0, you'll finish mining the rock, and get your minerals/gems.
Each tile is layered with:
stone > dirt > less dirt > exposed iron
By clicking on a tile, you can mine the layers down while decreasing the integrity of the rock.
To mine, you have two tools:
The Hammer
AoE: 3x3
Power: -1 (removes 1 layer)
Integrity: -9 per use
The Pick
AoE: + shape
Power: -2 on the inner tile, -1 on surrounding tiles (not inc. diagonals)
Integrity: -6 per use
Mining
To get minerals, you want to reveal as many iron-tiles as possible.
The more of the (brown & gray) mineral tiles that you uncover, the more iron ore you should get.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Ore comes in three sizes: 1x1 (small, valued at very little), 2x2 (medium, valued at approx 30 minerals), 2x3 (large, valued at approx 100 minerals).
To get the minerals for for 'bigger' ore veins, you have to uncover ALL the tiles to that vein.
Gems
On top of getting ore, you have a chance of finding gems:
Hidden gems appear as:
.. and when fully uncovered, appear as:
Note: You will not always get the gem, even if you uncover it.
This is just about everything that you need to know about mining.
Please leave us a good Nelp (Ninja Yelp) review.

(Disclaimer 2: Mining has random-factor to it; you probably won't consistently mine 100s.)
