There's been a shift in the winds
The Land of Wind has grown awfully silent due to recent events
After Kumogakure was able to push Sunagakure back by a few good miles, the Land of Wind has grown more and more inactive; across the region, numerous high profile criminal organisations, along with the sightings of infamous rogues and petty bandits have seemingly vanished... Silent... Inactive. Ontop of this, Sunagakure has seen a bit more activity within it's walls; the shinobi they sent out, now returning from their failed skirmishing. It is unknown how the war between Kumogakure and Sunagakure will turn out. But one thing is for certain, things have gone cold for the time being. There's a break in the action.
The Land of Lightning
After reigning victorious after a long campaign, Kumogakure is aiming to restore the quality and quantity of it's forces; they are aware they've gained the ire of plenty of eyes that watched them conduct their initial conquest and expansion, but yet even then, they are bold and confident enough that they are still one of the strongest superpowers within the Shinobi World. As a result, the Lightning Daimyō, Hoga, Kenji has given the greenlight to host another Chūnin exams within the next few months before they resume their campaign to expand southbound. However, Konohagakure and The Land of Fire will likely be their next opposition on their road of conquest.
The Land of Water
With a most recent and brutal attack upon Kirigakure, which left the village in disarray; the nation has finally suffered something rather crippling and as a result, has become reclusive. This means their scouting parties to the east have been recalled; their discoveries regarding The Land of Swamps and The Land of Demons, along with their investigation into The Land of Snow and the ruins of the old Yukigakure village will be given full reports in due time. As for the attack on Kirigakure, more details have been unveiled; it is said the organization responsible was known only as 'Abyss' or rather the 'Abyss' and it is rumoured said organization is taking control of lesser islands and smaller countries and territories around and within The Land of Water.
Further more, it is with this news that the Daimyō of the nation has come forth and made a public speech regarding both the attack on Kirigakure and it's efforts in the past few weeks; it was mostly positive, with plenty of praise being given for the genin being able to push back the Cult that has plagued the nation for almost two years now, of course with one problem being knocked down a peg, another rises! But confidence is being placed within the village, even if it had suffered a grievous wound.
The Land of Wind
Despite the odd silence encroaching upon this sandy slice of land within the Shinobi World, after the Kumogakure and Sunagakure skirmishes! There has been reports of an odd disease cropping up in some of the southern civilian villages in the Land of Wind; it is being labelled as 'Sand Fever', symptoms include so far, vomiting, rashes on the torso, excessive sweating, nausea, pallor and exhaustion; it is also said the disease can eventually kill those it has infected, if their immune systems are weak. Those that are unlucky die a slow and agonizing death.
Some speculate this disease is the reason as to why the region is oddly quiet as of late; but those are just rumours that have since been debunked. The disease is only affecting small farming communities and is mostly isolated from the majority of the region.
Oddly enough, Shinobi that have been sent in, to investigate haven't caught the disease yet, implying that it isn't highly contagious and that due to the higher chakra reserves of that of a civilian, it may play a roll in keeping one clean from infection. Other than that, it is ill-defined currently, there isn't much information and there is still yet much to discover.
Amegakure
Tsuga, Haori has replaced Fujii, Reo as leader of the village, obtaining the title of Amekage.
